| 11 Jul 2010 | When Winning Looks Like a Breeze...USA is on! | New |
Rogers-Dalhausser proved themselves another time for being the favourites of this year's Grand-Slam in Gstaad! The Americans won over the remarkably far come Polish team Fijalek-Prudel in two sets (14-21, 14-21). Todd and Phil had been leading since the beginning of the encounter and seeing them play gives the viewers the impression that winning looks like a breeze! Brilliant smashes, impressive blocks by the 203cm tall Dalhausser who's - by the way - of Swiss origin. Rogers-Dalhausser's attitude to the upcoming Gold Game towards the Germans Klemperer-Koreng looks like a breeze, too. more |

| 10 Jul 2010 | Heavy Thunderstorm interrupts Gold Game of Women | |
A few minutes after the start of the Gold Game of Women a heavy thunderstorm accompanied with hail of enormous size appeared! The ongoing game between Goller-Ludwig and Larissa-Juliana had to be interrupted in the first set at 4:4. Anyway, does anyone know that the word 'volley' itself can be translated as 'hail', respectively 'Hagel'? What a coincidence :) We're waiting to continue the game. |

| 09 Jul 2010 | No Quarterfinal for Swiss Ladies Kuhn-Zumkehr | |
How would a victory over last year's winners Antonelli-Talita from Brasil have been hilarious! Unfortunately, Kuhn-Zumkehr lost in three sets 1:2. In the third set, the three sucessfully fought off matchballs could not prevent the Swiss team from a defeat. Nevertheless, reflecting the game, Simone Kuhn said that "this was our best game in Gstaad. I'm not disappointed at all." |

| 08 Jul 2010 | Red card for Germany! | |
What a nerve-racking presentation! In the game between the two German competitors Klemperer-Koreng and Dollinger-Windscheif, the former ones tended to misbehave a few times during the game. As a result, Klemperer received a red card in the second set after a warning in the first and a yellow card in the second set. The reason for the red card is inappropriate behaviour on court. Klemperer-Koreng lost 2:0 (17-21, 18-21). |

In the late Thursday afternoon, the favourites Rogers-Dalhausser (USA) played their second match of the day; this time against a surprisingly awake and strong team of Polish Kadziola-Szalankiewicz. Even though Rogers and Dalhausser lost the first game of the day against the countrymen Gibb-Rosenthal in three sets (21-11, 20-22, 7-15), their second play turned out to be more successful - they won 2:0 against Poland (21-17, 21-17). Nevertheless, both American players seemed to be tired and slightly slaggish. The more stood out the Polish players who totally surprised with a neat and perfect way of playing! |
